I struggled through the first hundred pages of The Man Who Loved Children, wondering what on earth I was doing, why I was bothering...but by the time I was up to the final hundred pages, if anyone had tried to take that book from me, I'd have punched them in the nose. <br /><br />For me, TMWLC took a while to build up, but it was completely worth it.
